Cumulative vocabulary — Samala–English

This page lists the Samala vocabulary items in the first eight lessons.
This means the core vocabulary that shows up in lesson after lesson, so you won't see words that show up once as examples of some point about sound structure — such as  makak "to stammer, stutter," which shows two glottalized consonants in a single word.
Notes on alphabetical order:
At the beginning of a word  — glottal stop — is ignored, so  elew  and  elew  are listed together, but the word with the glottal stop is listed second.
and    follow regular  c and  s.
— barred I — follows regular  i.
