Lesson 1 — Some Samala phrases
     
Here are some greetings in Samala. They may have combinations of sounds that are more complicated than you've learned so far, but you've been introduced to the sounds themselves.
haku "hello" mountain(s)
haku, antk "hello, friend"
haku tikali? "hello, how"s it going?"
pa ki heki "OK" literally "just like so"    milimol
na tikali hi pi? "and how"s it going with you?" acorn
pa ki heki nani "OK too" literally "just like so also"
 
olit hi nono’ “it’s going very well for me”
ixpan 
kaqinaš “thanks” — literally “I’m grateful” — not a traditional expression, but a translation of English "thanks"
kiwanan
“goodbye” — literally “I’m going for a bit”
alitaxan "take heart" "bear up, take courage!"
