Introduction to the Lessons  

These lessons build on one another. Each lesson includes:
a few grammatical topics
perhaps a sound rule or two
a list of new vocabulary items
sound clips for all vocabulary items and many of the phrases — just click on the speaker icon  .
Lesson 4 has a set of practice exercises — translating from Samala to English and from English to Samala.

Additional features of the lesson section
You may see some technical terms here, such as "glottalized consonant" or "sibilant harmony." You'll find an explanation of these terms when they first appear. You can also look them up at any time in the  glossary section.
